Yes. NIL deals have been allowed for college athletes since July 2021, and our contracts are written to match the rules the NCAA, the FTC (the federal ad watchdog), and your state all expect. We also let your school compliance office see that a deal happened, so nothing surprises them later.

You can still use RecruitNIL, but a parent or guardian has to sign off. We collect and verify your parent's email at signup, every contract needs their signature, and we automatically add extra protections for minors (shorter licenses, fair early exit terms, a required cool off window before anything binds).

We prepare the tax summary you need at year end. If you earn more than $600 in a year, the brand that paid you sends you a 1099. We don't withhold taxes for you (that's between you and your accountant), but all your paperwork in one place makes filing easy.

Your school's compliance office sees the disclosure record — who paid you, how much, when. They don't see the contract itself, your messages, or payment details unless you share them. We only report what the rules require, nothing more.

Search for yourself on the Athletes page. If we have your public stats, you'll see a profile. Tap Claim, use your school email (.edu auto verifies), type the six digit code we email you, and you're done in under two minutes.

We only build profiles from info that's public online — public rosters, stats pages, articles. A lot of high school, JUCO, and NAIA programs don't put that online, so plenty of real athletes aren't in our database yet. Ask your coach to invite you, or email us and we'll add you within a day. You can also create a profile from scratch during onboarding.

Free for athletes, always. Brands and college coaches pay a flat monthly fee — $29 Starter, $79 Growth, or $199 Pro. Browsing is free on every plan; you only pay once you start running campaigns.

No. Everything an agent would do for you — contracts, market rate info, filing the compliance paperwork, handling payment — is built into the platform. If you already have an agent, they can log in with you. Nothing is locked behind needing one.

Every deal runs through a secure payment hold on Stripe. The brand funds it upfront, and the money releases to your bank account seven days after the work is confirmed. No chasing invoices, no awkward Venmo requests. Direct deposit or debit card, your choice.

They already have before you post. The money sits in a secure payment hold the moment the deal is signed. If the brand disputes, we review it within 48 hours, and if you did what the contract said, you get paid either way.

Yes. Every posted deal has a price range (for example $200 to $500). When you apply, you can propose a number inside that range. The brand approves or counters. Once you both agree, the contract is generated and signed.

We look at the real prices brands paid for similar deals in the last few months (same sport, same type of post, same division tier) and average them. You see the same data the brand sees when negotiating. We only show an average if there are at least three deals in that bucket, so no single deal is ever identifiable.

Think of us as the place a marketing agency would send your work — minus the retainer. Instead of paying 15 to 20 percent to a middle person who picks the athletes for you, you get analytics, compliance, contracts, payments, and direct access to every eligible athlete in one place. You choose who you want to work with, the software handles the busywork, and you don't need a separate agency, a separate legal team, or a separate payment platform.

Every deal has clear delivery requirements in the contract — format, platform, deadline. If the athlete misses the deadline, the payment hold doesn't release, and the money comes back to you. If they post something that doesn't match the contract (no ad tag, wrong platform, edited to remove your product), you can dispute within 48 hours.

You can, but every minor contract has a parent signature line plus extra protections (a cool off period, a fair early exit, no permanent rights to their name or image). The platform enforces this for you — you literally can't send a contract to a minor without a parent email on file.

You see your own deals. You see anonymous market price benchmarks on the Pro plan to help you price correctly. You don't see specific deals from your competitors. That's on purpose — it prevents poaching and keeps prices from racing to the bottom.

Only from public places: college stats pages (CCCAA, NJCAA, NAIA, NCAA), school roster pages, high school stats sites, public social profiles. Everything we show is already out on the open web — we just put it in one tidy place. Athletes can remove any stat from their profile after they claim it.

Yes, any time. Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We wipe your personal info within seven days. The law makes us keep contract records for seven years, but with your personal details scrubbed. Any deal that's still in flight has to finish or be canceled first.

Only you and the person you're talking to. Our support team can see that a conversation exists (who talked to whom and when) but not what was said, unless you open a dispute and evidence is needed. We will never sell or share your messages.

Yes. Brands see total views on their own deals (not individual people). Coaches see which athletes opened their messages. Athletes see weekly profile view counts. We use a privacy focused analytics tool called PostHog. No data is sold to outsiders.

If you're here on a student visa, NIL income can count as active work income under immigration rules, and that gets complicated. We flag this at signup and strongly suggest talking to a tax advisor first. The platform works for you, but some of the payment rails may need to be different.

Your deal stays the same — it's with you, not the school. Update your new school in your profile and we refile the disclosure with the new school. No need to cancel anything.

Flag it in the app. Our compliance team reviews within 24 hours. If you're right, the payment releases to you even if the brand disputes, and the brand gets flagged for other athletes. Repeat offenders get banned. Every contract also has a standard clause for serious bad behavior on either side.
